SAS stands for the “Salterforth All-Stars” and is our very special place for looking after children before and after school. Salterforth All Stars takes place at Salterforth Primary School and we enjoy sole use of the school hall and take full advantage of the wonderful grounds all year round. We aim to provide the best quality care for our members, ensuring every child benefits from their time at the club.

Morning Stars

The club starts at 7.30am. We ask that children arrive no later than 8:30 and must be accompanied by parents to the front door, where they will be greeted by a member of staff.

There is a selection of breakfast foods on offer, including cereals, toast, yoghurt and fruit.

Once the children have eaten breakfast, they have the opportunity to play or draw and colour, before playing out in the soft play area.

The morning session finishes at 8:45 when the school bell rings

Afternoon Stars

The afternoon session starts at 3:30pm.

Children are collected from their classrooms by a member of staff who registers them and then they are off out for some fresh air before teatime which offers a variety of healthy snacks such as tuna wraps, pesto pasta, fishfinger sandwiches and more!

It is then on to some exciting activities! Every evening there is a main adult-led project which fits into a weekly theme. Recent themes have included Minecraft, Chinese New Year, Under The Sea, Mother’s day etc. There is also a range of other free play choice for the children along with more outdoor play and a home learning table.

The club finishes at 6pm.
